Sandro Gualano, Deputy Chairman Dr. Sandro Gualano has 40 years experience in advanced industry of Telecommunications and Public Transportation. After starting his career as R&D Engineer in the UK Laboratories of Marconi Limited, he joined the GEC Marconi International Group and developed one of the leading Companies in Telecommunications in Europe, based in Italy. After the acquisition and merger with Marconi S.p.A and Finmeccanica defense telecommunication industry, S.Gualano was leading the Marconi Telecommunication Group as President and Managing Director, with 8000 employees and 2000 engineers in R&D activities, based in Italy, UK, US and Malaysia. Mr. S. Gualano has contributed to the development of important public and private communication networks in Italy, Europe, Australia and the Asia Pacific Region. In the year 2000, Mr. S. Gualano was called by the Italian Government to lead the restructuring of the National Air Traffic Control Agency as Managing Director, reporting to the Minister of Transport and Ministry of Finance.
