Lalith Mendis, Director / CFO A Chartered Accountant by profession, Mr. Lalith Mendis counts a career with a proven track record spanning nearly twenty eight years in Finance, Auditing and Business Management. He has gained extensive experience and wide exposure as Head of Finance and Head of Internal Audit in many organizations representing a diversity of industries ranging from Insurance to Telecommunication. He has held the position of the Financial Controller of Diners Club International Bahrain controlling the Middle-Eastern territory including Yemen, Sudan, Syria and Qatar. As the head of finance, Mr. Mendis has been extensively involved in strategic and business planning, budgeting, project evaluations, company valuations, company restructuring programmes, review of financial & internal controls, management of investment portfolios, and due diligence exercises etc. Moreover he has spear headed computerization of accounting systems in several companies. Mr. Mendis played a key role in the restructuring exercise undertaken by the company to remodel the business operation in the context of emerging economic realities. He was admitted as an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka in 1989 and has served in important committees of the Institute of Chartered Accountants such as Taxation, Education Curriculum & Library and auditing standards. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the International University of Martial Arts in Japan in recognition of the valuable services rendered to the Broadcasting Industry in Sri Lanka.
